A fresh update to this feature that was first published in 2015! Since that time we have lost some home grown frequent guest programs like Delta Hotels Privilege and Fairmont President's Club while others have gone the way of the dodo bird. So we thought it would be a great idea to look at what Canadian hotel chains still have their own loyalty programs in 2024.
This guide highlights these programs with a general overview of how many hotels they have, how points are earned and how they can be used. We also touch upon elite status if the programs have elite tier levels and point out any other benefits that really seem useful from each program. At a minimum, as with most of it not all hotel programs worldwide, you should join them no matter what, even if you only have one stay, as membership can bring certain benefits like free Wi-Fi, late check out and other perks.
Finally, while we may discuss all the benefits of the large hotel chain programs on a near daily basis and no doubt many of us have benefited from them tremendously, we encourage you to try out these hotels and their programs to show your support of our Canadian based hospitality businesses!
