Canada's Choice 2022 Winners
Canada we asked you to come out and vote for your favourite credit cards and loyalty programs in Canada. And vote you did! We had over 21,000 people vote in the 2022 edition of Canada's Choice making it a record breaking year! That's nearly 3,000 more than our previous record set back in 2014.
The results have been tabulated and we are pleased to present them to you here. For some categories there are no surprises while we were definitely surprised by some others! We want to give a big thank you to our regulars readers who cast their votes and also a big thank you to a lot of newcomers who came to our site to vote

Wrapping it up
As mentioned at the top of this feature we weren’t surprised by some of the results – namely the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card being so popular, Aeroplan and Marriott Bonvoy taking top airline and hotel programs respectively and PC Optimum holding on to being the top shopping loyalty program in Canada. No surprises there.
Where did the surprise come? Mainly in the Credit Card Reward program category with PC Optimum taking the top spot away from American Express Membership Rewards. And yet the PC Optimum credit cards didn't crack the top 3 cash back cards, so that was a little bit surprising.
In general the results do show the prowess that the large loyalty programs and credit card issuers have. It was all the big players who had great showings. Aeroplan, CIBC, TD, Marriott, PC Optimum – all of which are some of the most popular programs and credit card issuers in Canada and this reflects in the votes.
