Canada's Choice 2024 Winners
Thank you Canada!
We asked you to come out and vote for your favourite credit cards and loyalty programs in Canada. And that you did! We had over 35,000 people vote in the 2024 edition of Canada's Choice!
New champions have been crowned in three categories as the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card claimed the top spot in the Cash Back Rewards Credit Card category, the Scotiabank Scene+ Visa Card is Canada's new no annual fee favourite and Scene+ claimed the win as the best Overall Credit Card Rewards program. We also crowned our first ever winners in our new categories of Retail Loyalty Rewards Credit Card and Food & Drink Loyalty Program. Read on to see who came out on top!

Wrapping it up
Thank you Canada for another big turn out for Canada's Choice! For the most part, the voting this year has followed the same pattern we have seen for the past couple of years with Air Canada and TD dominating.
We saw the CIBC Costco Card take the victory in this inaugural year of having a Retail Loyalty Rewards Credit Card category. This led to new card being voted in as the best the cash back card in Canada which is the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card. Meanwhile the Scotiabank Scene+ Visa Card took first place away from the TD Rewards Visa Card in the No Annual Fee Travel Rewards Credit Card category.
In what is probably the biggest change this year, Scene+ took the top spot in the overall Credit Card Rewards program category. This change breaks PC Optimum's multi-year streak of holding the top spot in this category.
Also new this year was the addition of a Food & Drink Loyalty Program category and none other than the Canadian staple, Tim Horton's took top spot with Tim Rewards earning the most votes.
In general the results do show the prowess that the large loyalty programs and credit card issuers have. It was all the big players who had great showings. Aeroplan, TD, PC Optimum, Scene+ – all of which are some of the most popular programs and credit card issuers in Canada and this reflects in the votes.
