WestJet extends top-tier status for Platinum, Gold and Silver members, extends qualifying period + they'll move to calendar year qualifying rather than basing it on join date

Two of Canada's top cash back credit cards had new welcome bonuses revealed this week. Both join the 10% club - that is by offering 10% back on all purchases up to a set amount during the first few months of having the cards. The Scotia Momentum VISA Infinite card limited time welcome bonus of 10% back for first three months & first year free is back!New increased welcome bonus for the SimplyCash Preferred Card from American Express - 10% back on all purchases (up to $400 cash back) |
At the start of this week news broke from United Airlines that they were permanently removing some of those dreaded fees that airlines charge when making changes to tickets. It didn't take long for other U.S. based airlines to follow suit with a couple including Canada as part of the deal. There is no word yet here in Canada whether our airlines will follow suit. |
