04.19.07 Air Canada launched a new contest last week called The Great Migration, I'm sure many of you have seen it and are probably participating. If you are then you are more then likely aware that there seem to be some issues with the contest. The concept is cool with the geese puppets and the prize of a 4 credit North America pass to all members of a team is great, however the IT issues that arise really make it tough to play. Just for example: on our team one person could not sign up at all no matter how hard he tried, then when the first question was sent out to us, everyone received it except for one person (even thought that person did get his registration confirmation etc.) and after the rest of us answered it showed him in the answered area and another player who did answer in the area reserved for players with no answer. Then yesterday when the next question came out I received it but no one else on the team did! These issues are definitely not unique as a quick scan of some chat boards shows other with the same problems and that Air Canada is in fact aware of them.

So in conclusion it seems that Air Canada's Marketing team put a lot of effort in making this contest very fancy but not much effort into the back end. At this point it seems the contest will only continue to feed many of the negative stereotypes that Air Canada is trying to hard to shed
