Airline & Program News
Air Canada, Westjet and Jetsgo have all announced growth in their June traffic versus 2003. Some of the highlights: Air Canada's load factors reached 79.4%, the highest ever for June. JetsGo's revenue passenger miles were up 73% with a load factor of 67.4%. WestJet had a load factor of 71.9% with revenue passenger miles increasing by 25%. The increases show the start of the summer travel season but the numbers definitely show a rebound in traffic that was affected in past years by SARS and 9-11. The numbers being reported show passenger levels have reached or surpassed those seen just before 9-11.
New Routes

Westjet has announced additional transborder routes as follows: Toronto-New York La Guardia (12x per week, begins on 09.20.04), Toronto-Orlando (6x weekly, begins on 10.01.04), Toronto-Ft. Lauderdale (4x weekly, 10.31.04), Toronto-Tampa (4x weekly, 10.31.04), Vancouver-Los Angeles (6x weekly, 12.19.04) and Calgary-Palm Springs (2x weekly, 01.07.05).
